Nice to see Microsoft admit a problem, a bloat problem
Jan 28th
This article http://www.informationweek.com/news/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=202404710 details how M$ is working to streamline their next OS and make it lighter and more (hardware friendly) It has been obvious for a long time that Microsoft has been in bed with companies like Intel to make the OS bloated and force consumers to buy higher end hardware. Linux has always made a streamlined OS and I feel that Microsoft is feeling the pressure of Ubuntu as you can install it on windows 98 era hardware and have a very usable desktop. I have been playing with vista for a couple months now and everytime I boot my pc into it, I feel like my pc performance is cut in half! I reboot into Ubuntu or XP and my machine feels like it should. Even disabling the Aero crap still leaved the OS feeling bloated. I can run Ubuntu with compiz-fusion on a laptop with a 64mb ati radeon 9000 and out perform what vista’s aero can do on my 512 mb nvidia geforce 8400 gs . I will commend M$ if they can actually pull off a lighter OS in their next release. In the mean time, I will do my gaming in Xp.

Qmail Toster install on CentOS 5 – Revised
Jan 21st
Well, I was basically doing some checking on the server and found that some links on my qmail toaster guide were outdated and messed up. I have revised the links so my qmail toaster install guide for 32 and 64 bit CentOS 5 will work properly and be more helpful. Check it out here http://www.larmeir.com/2007/12/how-do-i-install-qmail-toaster-on.html
