Server is running on openvz now

Over the weekend I decided to migrate this server to a totally virtualized enviornment. I am now running on openvz ( http://openvz.org/) which is a virtualization solution for Linux that allows you to run multiple Linux distrobutions from one kernel with the ability to set quotas on system utilization and to run fully independently. Larmeir.com now runs on Fedora Core8 with apache 2 while linuxhelpresource.com is running on Debian etch 4.0 with lighttpd. My impressions of Openvz thus far are quite optimistic. I love having the ability to experiment with distrobutions and the ability to change them on the fly. I also installed a web based administration backend developed by bobcares call Vtonf ( http://www.vtonf.com/ ) This is a new open source product under development and it is pretty good. It is new and has a few bugs but I am not complaining. I am still working on fine tunign openvz for my server and getting everything setup the way I like it. I will be writing a very detailed article on linuxhelpresource.com shortly that explans the entire installation process, basic commands, getting vps’s running, system requirements, and much, much more….
