mmm Lunch with the wife at souper salad..
May 14th

Today I went to souper salad and ate so well with my wife….. I had a mega salad with bell peppers, tomatos, spinach leaves, cheese, cucumbers and more.. My dressing of choice, fat free italian.. The checken enchilada soup was awesome and I finished off the meal with a mostly organic strawberry shortcake with non-dairy whipped topping. If you can find one from the link below in your area, surely go!

I worked with windows 2008 and hyperv today

Today was my first encounter with this new product, and it was pretty insane. I think the interface is nice and it has a good feel, but I still cannot get over the fact that it does not support RedHat…. That is a nightmare waiting to happen and people who use Linux will not embrace a product that will run only one distro, even more a distro viewed as a sell out. I must admit though, for running windows vps’s it seems to be a good solution. I would never use it, as I am a huge VMware fan, but it seems to have alot of functionality. Virtualization is the future and compared to the other products out there, I feel this cant even compete. VMware has this product topped in every way including the ability to run almost any OS there is and appears to have more options. This is my daily opinion…
Heartburn sucks…….. Be greatful if you don’t suffer from stomach ailments
May 13th

Yes, I have heartburn, that acid reflux crap that that affects 44% of all Americans. I sort of got the short end of the stick on this one. My Mom has hereditary heartburn issues, while my Dad has hereditary stomach problems. Combine this with the fact I was born with a birth defect that resulted in my intestine rupturing and having a chunk of it removed, this spells stomach trouble city. This affects my life more often that I would like to admit, lost sleep, irritability, loss of comfort. There isn’t much I can do except take medicines that would affect my body and I am not even sure that is a good idea. One day when I find a real safe home remedy that works, I will post here.

Server was down all day Sunday..
May 12th
I had to do some emergency maintenance on the server that was rather unexpected. This issue was further compounded by the fact that some of the major software packages I use had their repositories broken as well, thus my restoration of certain software was delayed. During the emergency downtime I switched from CentOS 5.1 to Debian etch 4.0 – this has significantly trimmed my memory usage and should help me run some other various software applications I need to implement. Ill have my sites fixed back up to normal this week, but uptime was obviously my highest priority. I noticed that linuxhelpresource.com is throwing some bugs when accessing individual pages and Ill get that fixed soon. – Dustin
