San Antonio Trip 2010

I decided to go on a small quick trip down south to Austin, San Marcos and San Antonio Texas to have a little fun. I strongly recommend it for those of you who have not been.

While heading South I saw a sign for the czech stop just about 30 miles outside of Waco. I thought this looked interesting and the Euro in me craved food from the old world ( I am of German and Eastern European descent) so I decided to check it out. The first thing I noticed was that this place was standing room only. The line was long, and tons of people were in there to get some of this food. That told me right away that this was the good stuff. I ended up getting a Kraut and Brat stuffed bread and an Pumpkin Cream-Cheese Pastry. Turns out this was one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten in my life. Pictures below:

So I decided to drive straight through Austin and hit up the Alamo, River Walk and the sights to see in downtown. I snapped a few pictures of the local scenery, met an awesome street preacher and burned up on the 107 degree temp outside ( Don’t ya love Texas Summers?)

San Marcos is situated between Austin and San Antonio and is the best place to grab a room for the night if you are in the area. It also has attractions that are pretty fun too.We hit up Wonder World ( http://www.wonderworldpark.com) and Aquarena Springs ( http://www.aquarena.txstate.edu ). Pictures from these attractions:

In a nutshell for a couple hundred dollars you can have a pretty fun vacation here for your family. I know I enjoyed it.
